This year, we ventured to the commune of Puerto Ibáñez, on the shores of Chelenko, South America’s second-largest lake, also known as General Carrera.
We traveled the “Las Estancias del Chelenko” route, passing through the ranches La Pirámide, La Pedregosa, and La Maroma. The landscape blends pampas, mountains, and temperate forests, with the vast lake always forming a stunning backdrop. Raising Angus cattle and Boer goats is part of the scenery and a cherished aspect of local culture.
This was the third edition, where the horizon seems to stretch forever, the landscapes leave a lasting impression, and the wind refreshes the soul.
